Medical Science Liaison, Hematology/Rare Disease (Central)

Overview

In this role you will support Global Clinical Sciences and Operations to drive phase III trials, focusing on safety and efficacy evaluation of the asset. You will serve as a scientific liaison for investigators and site staff, enabling recruitment, retention, and operational solutions. You'll maintain deep expertise in rare hematology disorders, especially chronic neutropenia, and represent the company at medical meetings. This position combines scientific exchange with hands-on trial support to advance clinical research impact.

Responsibilities
  • Provide medical and scientific support to investigators and site staff with compliant communications
  • Deliver in-depth drug/disease information to healthcare professionals
  • Discuss operational challenges affecting patient recruitment and retention with sites
  • Support recruitment/enrollment alongside Clinical Operations and CRO teams
  • Maintain expertise in rare hematology disorders (chronic neutropenia)
  • Engage with investigators/site personnel as clinical experts to aid operations
  • Identify and qualify new sites for trial participation
  • Support feasibility, site selection, and SIVs with scientific materials
  • Provide feedback from KOL/Investigator interactions to clinical teams
  • Contribute to Medical Affairs initiatives and represent the company at medical meetings
Key requirements
  • Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, NP, PA) or equivalent terminal degree
  • 3-5 years of MSL/CTL experience, preferably in pre-launch clinical trials
  • Prior rare disease/immunology/hematology experience preferred
  • Proven ability to engage Investigators/KOLs in non-promotional scientific exchange
  • Experience in clinical operations, site-level trial execution, and CROs preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 50% with overnight stays
  • Knowledge of local regulatory requirements and pharmaceutical codes for compliant scientific exchange
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and project management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication in English (and other languages as required)
