Overview As a Senior Facades Engineer at Arup, you drive façade design and building envelope solutions for US West and global projects. You lead technical work, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and mentor junior staff to deliver performance-based outcomes. You'll collaborate with renowned architects and owners, guiding workshops and coordinating design development through to tender documentation. This role combines design, analysis, and client-facing delivery in a purpose-driven, values-led firm.

Responsibilities- Lead technical engineering services across projects in building envelopes and facades
- Coordinate production of preliminary calculations and sketches to support design development
- Produce specifications, drawings, and tender packages; review submittals for compliance
- Witness performance testing and oversee factory visits and site observations
- Supervise and coordinate work of team members; mentor juniors
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality assurance reviews
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to define needs and maintain collaboration
- Assist in defining scopes of work and budgets
- Participate in design workshops with architects and other disciplines
Key requirements- Bachelor in Architecture or Engineering; Master preferred
- 6-7 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of architectural design, building science, codes and standards
- Technical knowledge of exterior wall, roofing, waterproofing and other envelope systems
- Ability to perform structural or envelope physics analyses
- Experience with 3D modeling and 2D CAD
- Strong analytical, research, and communication skills
- Ability to balance multiple projects and build client relationships
- Comfort working under pressure and meeting deadlines
