Overview As a Roving Building Engineer at Colliers, you apply technical expertise to maintain and repair building systems across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related equipment. You will manage preventive and necessary maintenance, respond to client requests, and coordinate work with contractors and management to minimize downtime. Your work supports safe, efficient environments for clients and properties, contributing to Colliers' reputation as an industry leader. This role offers hands-on problem solving, on-site collaboration, and the chance to influence building performance on a regional portfolio.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive and necessary maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems
- Maintain daily operating logs for HVAC equipment, utility meters, and general complaints
- Respond to client requests, prioritize and complete work orders, and follow up for uptime and communication
- Coordinate contractor, tenant, and management approvals for work orders
- Apply proper operating procedures and chemical treatment levels for cooling towers and boilers
Key requirements- At least 3 years of building/property maintenance or engineering experience
- Solid knowledge of HVAC systems/maintenance, electrical, plumbing, energy management systems and related building mechanical equipment
- On-call flexibility for after-hours or weekend emergencies
- Valid driver's license
- Clear motor vehicle record (MVR)
