Overview In this role you will help lead the design delivery for the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project, guiding the design team across heavy rail systems. You will support integration with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to meet client requirements and standards while driving value engineering and design optimization. You will collaborate with construction teams to ensure a smooth transition from design to build, contributing to safety, quality, and timely delivery. Responsibilities- Analyze and assist in oversight of the design team and coordinating design activities for Heavy Commuter Rail Systems
- Manage the design process including planning, concept development, detailed design, and design reviews
- Ensure design deliverables meet project requirements, client expectations, and relevant standards
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and stakeholders to integrate design elements and address technical challenges
- Review design drawings, calculations, and technical documentation for accuracy, quality, and compliance
- Support value engineering efforts, design optimization, and innovation in design solutions
- Coordinate with construction teams to ensure seamless transition from design to construction phase
Key requirements- Bachelor in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; Master's preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
- Extensive experience in design management, preferably on large tunneling or underground construction projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bentley software suites
- Strong project management skills, including prioritization, deadlines, and resource management
