Overview As Senior Construction Manager, you lead complex facility projects in the Amazon logistics network, acting as the senior owner's representative across the full construction lifecycle. You'll manage design, external partners, procurement, budgets, and handover, delivering large-scale builds, retrofits, and expansions regionally. You'll mentor teammates, drive best practices, and influence decision-making with senior leaders. This role offers shaping regional construction delivery and contributing to Amazon's safety culture and playbooks.

Responsibilities- Act as senior owner's representative and primary construction integrator for complex regional projects
- Oversee end-to-end project management services, design services, and external partner performance
- Own project budgets and lead procurement activities
- Lead external partner selection and contract negotiations with developers, GCs, architects, and design consultants
- Oversee design and engineering, including evaluations, conformance reviews, and value engineering
- Develop project strategies and allocate resources accordingly
- Monitor performance metrics, anticipate risks, and drive corrective actions
- Resolve issues and defend trade-offs for internal stakeholders
- Coordinate with AHJs for permitting and regulatory approvals
- Champion safety programs and standardize safety culture across project teams
- Align diverse stakeholders (legal, regulatory, operations, engineering, finance, external groups)
- Write narratives and present complex trade-offs to Directors and VPs
- Drive continuous improvement and develop repeatable processes and playbooks
- Mentor and develop junior CMs and elevate team performance
- Contribute to developing Amazon's internal and external construction networks
- Conduct site visits to verify quality, safety, and schedule adherence
- Prepare for handover planning with cross-functional teams
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of experience as Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, or related construction discipline
- 7+ years of project management experience from design to handover
- 7+ years of experience negotiating construction, procurement, or labor contracts
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or BIM and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar)
