Overview In this role you lead owner-side EPC procurement and commercial negotiations for utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage projects. You will manage end-to-end procurement, from RFP development to award, working with cross-functional teams to align contracts with project scope, schedule, and risk objectives. You'll influence partner selection and establish sound EPC and related agreements to support on-time project delivery. This is a strategic, hands-on position at a company delivering large-scale renewable energy projects with a collaborative culture.

Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end procurement and contracting for utility-scale solar PV and BESS EPC services
- Develop procurement strategies and comprehensive EPC RFP packages
- Manage bidder communications, contractor qualification, and competitive tender processes
- Evaluate and level commercial and technical proposals, identify material differences, and prepare award recommendations
- Lead commercial negotiations for limited notices to proceed, EPC agreements, O&M agreements, consulting agreements, service contracts, and supporting exhibits
- Partner with Legal, Engineering, Project Management, Construction, and other stakeholders to align contract terms with project scope, schedule, technical requirements, and risk objectives
- Evaluate contractor capabilities, financial strength, safety performance, execution history, and project capacity
- Advise project teams on EPC schedules, procurement milestones, long-lead requirements, and execution risks
- Improve procurement processes, evaluation tools, templates, and contracting practices
- Mentor and support junior team members
Key requirements- Five or more years of experience in procurement, contracts, commercial management, or project delivery
- Three or more years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy, power generation, energy storage, or comparable projects
- Experience supporting or leading EPC procurement and complex commercial negotiations for large capital projects
- Experience developing RFPs, evaluating proposals, levelizing bids, and preparing award recommendations
- Strong understanding of EPC contracting (pricing, scope, schedule, risk allocation, change management, warranties, remedies)
- Strong commercial judgment and ability to evaluate multi-dimensional risks
- Ability to influence decisions and align cross-functional teams
- Bachelor in Engineering, supply chain, construction management, business, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
