Overview In this role you will lead complex pre-construction and bidding efforts to deliver accurate budgets and GMPs. You'll guide a cross-functional Estimating team, build client and subcontractor relationships, and drive value engineering and risk analysis. Responsibilities- Lead the Estimating team and manage Assistant Estimators, MEP Estimators, and Career Start team members on projects
- Develop in-house budgets and GMPs
- Prepare quantity take-offs and apply unit pricing for material and labor
- Understand full project scope through document review and design-owner collaboration
- Prepare value engineering and risk analyses
- Prepare qualifications and assumptions for estimates
- Lead constructability reviews and subcontractor solicitation & selection
- Ensure bid quality control across departments and reconcile with outside estimators
- Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders and communicate effectively
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in estimating or equivalent
- Proficient computer skills with Excel and Word
- Experience with estimating software Timberline, OST, MC2
- Understanding of market conditions on pricing
