Overview In this role you will lead research and development of AI technologies for personalization at scale. You will work within Amazon's Personalization organization to invent and apply ML techniques, including large language models, to improve recommendations and user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence product direction through measurable impact and scalable systems. Responsibilities- Lead research, design, and deployment of new AI technologies for personalization
- Adopt or invent ML/analytic techniques for recommendations and LLMs
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product partners across regions
- Prototype, experiment, and launch new features, products, and systems
- Drive solution scaling and production readiness for large datasets and compute resources
- Communicate findings and influence product and research directions
Key requirements- PhD in CS/EE or related field
- 5+ years of applied research post-PhD in ML/DL models for business applications
- Strong CS fundamentals (data structures and algorithms)
- Excellent coding skills in Java or Python
- Publications in top-tier peer-reviewed venues
