Job description

Overview

In this role, you will support cross-functional HR processes to sustain smooth operations in a manufacturing context. You will drive onboarding, compensation and benefits coordination, and policy maintenance while ensuring compliance and accurate employee records. You'll collaborate with the HR Manager on safety initiatives, training, and community engagement to foster a healthy workplace. You will analyze HR data and reports to support decision-making and workforce planning. This position offers hands-on impact across recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee relations in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and onboarding of employees, including job requisitions, offers, pre-employment steps, onboarding, and OFCCP reporting
  • Generate payroll/HR reports and manage HR-related documentation for employee status changes
  • Plan and coordinate training programs aligned with OSHA standards
  • Maintain documentation and assist with employee relations and vendor communications
  • Conduct new hire orientation and ensure awareness of rules, regulations, and CBA information
  • Assist with employee recognition programs
  • Participate in safety activities, including audits, training delivery, and safe work analysis
  • Compile and analyze monthly/annual statistics and distribute reports
  • Support Community Engagement activities and corporate initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • Familiar with standard HR concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Proficient in navigating HRIS and related systems (Workday, ATS, ADP, eTime, PeopleSoft, ArcPlan, Aspen)
  • Intermediate proficiency in Google Suite
  • Knowledge of employment law (intermediate)
  • Exposure to OSHA reporting and compliance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities
  • 3+ years HR experience, preferably in manufacturing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
