Estimator

In this Estimator role, you'll drive accurate project cost assessments for earthwork, grading, highway, utilities, and residential/commercial sitework in Gainesville, VA. You will partner with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop competitive, comprehensive estimates that inform budgeting and planning. You'll monitor costs across the project life cycle and support contract negotiations, helping the team win bids and manage financial risk. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to shape project viability and outcomes within a collaborative, multi-discipline environment.

• Review project specs and drawings to identify requirements and costs
• Prepare detailed estimates for earthwork, grading, highway, utilities, residential, and commercial projects
• Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs for accurate pricing
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather estimate inputs
• Present estimates and proposals to clients and stakeholders
• Monitor project costs and budgets during the project life cycle
• Assist in contract negotiations with clients and suppliers

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• Proven experience as a construction estimator
• Strong knowledge of earthwork, grading, highways, utilities, and residential/commercial project methods, materials, and regulations
