Overview

In this role you will oversee the construction of homes in assigned communities, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality targets are met. You will manage on-site activities, supervise trade partners, and safeguard safety and customer experience throughout the build. Based in Medina, OH, you will work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and keep projects on track. The position offers hands-on leadership in a growth oriented, safety driven environment within a Fortune 500 homebuilder.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee scheduling and supervision of daily trade partner activities and assess quality/efficiency
  • Review and modify construction drawings to resolve plan conflicts
  • Update project schedules and allocate resources to meet deadlines
  • Ensure homes are completed on schedule and compliance with plans, specs, and codes
  • Maintain customer experience through proactive communication and issue resolution
  • Coordinate with Community Sales to monitor performance and customer activity
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and enforce Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan standards
  • Authorize field purchases and payments for materials and labor
  • Inspect trade partner workmanship and product quality; authorize payments when standards are met
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Process Improvement, Resource Planning, and Purchasing to address plan quality, schedule adherence, and budgetary challenges
  • Evaluate trade partner compliance with building codes and workmanship standards
  • Participate in trade partner recruiting and vetting
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Delegate work and support employee development; contribute to performance evaluations and training opportunities
  • Support safety and leadership development within the team
  • Monitor community budgets and cost controls
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Key requirements
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of construction experience or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Knowledge of building codes and municipal permitting
  • Experience with construction scheduling software
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to manage costs and budgets
