Overview

As Senior Estimator you will lead regional estimating and planning efforts, mentoring the team and driving major estimating initiatives. You will develop and refine estimates across conceptual to detailed levels, support planning and engineering, and maintain strong subcontractor relationships. You will present estimating results to clients and stakeholders, and oversee database pricing, scope reviews, and on-screen take-off using estimating software. Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor estimators and estimating engineers
  • Develop conceptual and detailed estimates for projects across the region
  • Lead major estimating efforts and produce clear estimate reports
  • Cultivate subcontractor knowledge and relationships
  • Present estimating results to clients and stakeholders
  • Apply knowledge of civil, structural, and architectural trades
  • Lead value engineering and track outcomes
  • Ensure on-time deliverables and manage scope review processes
  • Master estimating software and on-screen take-off
  • Consult with architects and engineers on project parameters
  • Maintain and update database-pricing
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field
  • Eight (8) years of estimating experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Experience with large CM/GC projects or Design Build and complex bids
  • Independent sales strengths for presentations and pursuits
  • Proven relationships with internal teams, owners, architects/engineers, and subcontractors
  • Attention to detail and reliability in delivering tasks
  • Strong decision making and advisory abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • Detail-oriented and task-focused
  • Relationship-building across internal and external partners
  • Estimating software mastery including on-screen take-off
  • Database-pricing updates
  • MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
