Responsibilities- Serve as the senior strategic communications partner to Human Resources, ensuring alignment with MITRE priorities and governance.
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive HR communications strategy that supports MITRE's people strategy and business objectives.
- Align messaging with enterprise priorities, organizational change efforts, and workforce needs; advise senior HR leadership on high-visibility initiatives.
- Maintain consistent messaging, tone, and brand across HR channels and touchpoints; anticipate risks and opportunities.
- Lead communications for the full employee lifecycle and related programs; design integrated campaigns to boost awareness and engagement.
- Elevate employee communications through audience segmentation, channel strategy, storytelling, and personalization; advise on transparency and trust.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR leadership to promote employer value proposition and recruitment marketing.
- Oversee content highlighting culture, opportunities, and experiences across digital and internal channels; support recruitment messaging.
- Lead change management communications for workforce initiatives and enterprise HR transformation; craft leadership messages during change.
- Establish and evolve metrics to assess effectiveness; deliver insights to leadership for decision-making.
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Human Resources, Marketing, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate or internal communications, HR communications, or employee engagement
- Proven success in developing enterprise-wide communication strategies and leading high-impact initiatives
- Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication skills; ability to translate complex topics for diverse audiences
- Experience advising senior executives and influencing cross-functional stakeholders in a large, matrixed organization
- Strong strategic planning, project management, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience using metrics and analytics to evaluate communications effectiveness and guide decisions
- Discretion, sound judgment, and executive presence for sensitive/high-visibility initiatives
