Overview In this role you drive attorney development across the firm's practice groups, partnering with practice leaders and ADPs to align staffing, training, and performance feedback with growth targets. You coordinate cross-office assignments, support pro bono integration, and help design and implement formal skills training and development initiatives. You work with talent teams to plan workforce needs and ensure developers have actionable feedback for progression. This is a broad, collaborative role that shapes associates' professional growth at a top-tier firm.

Responsibilities- Partner with practice leaders and ADPs to integrate staffing and training for associates' growth
- Coordinate assignment and reassignment of work across offices and expose lawyers to diverse departments
- Maintain development goals within assignments and integrate practice group planning
- Support pro bono involvement and facilitate regular feedback meetings between partners and associates
- Track and analyze associate metrics (availability, utilization) and oversee performance feedback processes
- Collaborate on planning for future workforce needs and capacity projections
- Assist with formal skills training program design and implementation with training committees and leadership
- Support recruitment materials, orientation, training camps, mentoring programs, and related initiatives
- Provide hands-on support to department heads across multiple offices, including international offices
Key requirements- J.D. and 4-6 years of practice experience at a peer law firm (or 5+ years in HR at a professional services organization)
- Minimum 2 years of staffing, professional development, or practice support experience
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel) and familiarity with databases like viDesktop is a plus
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and handle confidential information
