Overview In this role you will lead client service and business development efforts while ensuring high-quality project delivery for Kennedy Jenks' water and wastewater projects in Northern California. You will assemble and guide cross-functional teams, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and grow client relationships. The position blends strategic pursuit work with hands-on project leadership in a hybrid work setup. This role offers impact by aligning client needs with engineering excellence and company growth.

Responsibilities- Lead new business pursuits and cultivate strong client relationships to meet sales targets
- Oversee multiple projects to ensure they meet scope, schedule, and budget goals and optimize operational efficiency
- Lead one or more client service teams, coordinating resources for high-quality outcomes
- Act as Deputy Project Manager or Project Manager with accountability for scope, schedule, and budget under supervision
- Lead client presentations, proposals, and strategy, collaborating with Marketing & Proposals to drive business development
Key requirements- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or similar engineering field
- 10+ years in water/wastewater engineering consulting with track record in business development
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with Client Relationship Management (CRM) tools
- Strong client service and relationship management abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication, editing and research skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to travel within Northern California; hybrid work model
