Overview In this Senior Estimator role, you support the preconstruction team by developing cost estimates, value management, and proposal reports to guide project decisions. You'll quantify and price building systems, solicit subcontractor bids, and prepare scopes of work for trades. You'll collaborate to meet tight deadlines and contribute to Skanska's mission of building for a better society. Responsibilities- Develop and deliver detailed cost estimates for projects
- Lead value management activities to optimize project outcomes
- Prepare proposal reports and cost analyses for decision-makers
- Quantify, price, and qualify building systems and components
- Solicit subcontractor pricing and prepare scopes of work for all trades
- Meet critical deadlines and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Key requirements- 7+ years of experience in estimating with a GC or Trade Partner
- 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience and familiarity with estimating software
- 5+ years of Value Management processes experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or equivalent/applicable degree (or 8 years of equivalent experience and 7+ years of relevant experience)
