Overview In this role you will develop detailed estimates for self-performed structural concrete work within Morgan Corp.'s Industrial Division. You will work closely with the estimating team to assess drawings, specs, and site information, focusing on constructability, sequencing, access, and risks to create competitive bids. You'll translate field knowledge into accurate cost models, schedules, and scope definitions that support successful preconstruction and handoff. This position offers exposure to challenging concrete projects across power, water, marine, mining, and manufacturing sectors and emphasizes collaboration and practical know-how.

Responsibilities- Independently develop detailed estimates from project drawings, specs, site information, and bid documents
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for concrete, formwork, reinforcing steel, embeds, grout, and related components
- Develop labor crews, production rates, labor hours, material needs, and equipment costs
- Evaluate means and methods, including forming systems, pour sequencing, reinforcement installation, concrete placement, access, and temporary works
- Develop project schedules and assess sequencing, access, and constraints on costs
- Identify risks, constructability concerns, scope gaps, and improvement opportunities
- Price ancillary scopes related to concrete work (excavation, trench drains, survey, coatings, waterproofing, etc.)
- Develop scopes of work and solicit pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and fabricators
- Review subcontractor/vendor proposals for scope, exclusions, and alignment with bid documents
- Create bid clarifications, assumptions, exclusions, and other proposal deliverables
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to evaluate conditions and constraints
- Collaborate with Estimating Manager and other discipline estimators to develop integrated estimates and proposals
- Participate in estimate reviews and clearly communicate basis of estimate, risks, and approach
- Support handoff and preconstruction activities to ensure transfer of estimating assumptions and risks to project teams
Key requirements- 5+ years of concrete construction field or estimating experience
- Experience estimating complex structural concrete work in industrial or heavy civil environments
- Strong ability to perform detailed concrete quantity takeoffs and develop complete estimates
- Experience developing labor crews, production rates, equipment requirements, and construction means and methods
- Experience developing scopes of work, soliciting subcontractor pricing, and evaluating quotations
