Overview In this VP role, you will shape and scale the business architecture function to support State Street IM's transformation toward a Product, Platform, and Service (PPS) operating model. You will align business capabilities, processes, and operating models with strategy, working with cross-functional leaders to translate strategy into platform and capability roadmaps. You'll help establish end-to-end business platforms and drive measurable outcomes across transformation programs. Responsibilities- Establish and mature a scalable business architecture function for enterprise-wide transformation
- Design and maintain capability models, value streams, and operating models aligned with strategy
- Ensure alignment between business strategy, operating models, and technology investments
- Embed business architecture principles within the PPS operating model and governance
- Provide architecture oversight and thought leadership for transformation programs
- Develop deliverables like capability maps, value stream diagrams, and investment roadmaps
- Support strategic planning, innovation, and change management
- Collaborate with solution architects, product managers, and delivery teams to realize outcomes
- Mentor junior business architects and foster a high-performance culture
Key requirements- 10+ years in business architecture, solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or strategic transformation, preferably in investment management or financial services
- Proven track record in complex, matrixed organizations
- Strong expertise in business capability modeling, value stream mapping, operating model design, and enterprise transformation
- Technical proficiency in solution architecture: integration patterns, API management, microservices, and composable architecture
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native design, data integration, security practices
- Experience with business capability software catalog tools and governance
- GenAI familiarity: concepts, prompt engineering, responsible AI, and integrating AI/ML into processes
- Experience supporting large-scale transformations including PPS or similar operating models
- Familiarity with TOGAF, BIZBOK, ArchiMate or similar frameworks
- Ability to translate business strategy into actionable technology/data solutions

- Collaborative mindset, ability to navigate organizational complexity and drive outcomes
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, CS, engineering, or technology; MBA preferred
