Overview In this Laboratory Manager role in NC, you lead hospital laboratory operations to ensure compliant, efficient service. You report to the Director of Lab Services and shape the organizational structure, staffing, and equipment plans to meet standards and budgets. You oversee service levels, contribute to budgeting, and ensure ongoing certification maintenance with ASCP/AMT and CLIA guidelines. This position combines hands-on leadership with strategic oversight to support high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities- Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance across the laboratory
- Recommend and implement an appropriate organizational structure and personnel plan
- Develop and oversee the laboratory equipment plan and its execution
- Maintain service level standards for the laboratory
- Assist with department budgeting and financial planning
- Supervise and develop laboratory staff; participate in hiring and performance management
- Ensure continuation of ASCP/AMT certifications per CMP/CCP requirements
- Stay current with regulatory standards, safety, and infection control policies
Key requirements- BS degree
- MT(ASCP) certification or equivalent
- 8+ years of supervisory experience in a hospital laboratory
- Experience with budgeting, payroll, hiring, and staffing
