Overview

As a Project Director, Construction, you guide regional construction engagements from concept to closeout for Food, Beverage, Life Science, and related markets. You will lead a cross-functional team of experts within the AEC business, ensuring client satisfaction, budget discipline, schedule control, quality, and safety. You'll partner with leaders and specialists to deliver design-build and EPC projects and drive growth through strong client relations and proposals. Responsibilities
  • Steer projects from initial client meetings to final closeouts, ensuring alignment with client and organizational objectives
  • Lead risk assessment, contract negotiations, and critical fee/pricing decisions
  • Serve as primary client liaison and advocate for project performance
  • Identify new opportunities and contribute to proposals defining scope of work
  • Maintain budget and financial oversight throughout the project lifecycle
  • Oversee construction/design-build initiatives, including estimating and proposal crafting
  • Create and safeguard scope, schedule, and budgets to meet client expectations
  • Lead and develop the project team, ensuring collaboration and high morale
  • Supervise construction activities and bid processes for industrial facilities and related structures
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards
Key requirements
  • 15+ years in diverse construction roles with 8+ years in construction management and leadership
  • Experience in Construction and A&E design-build projects; industrial sector experience preferred
  • Track record managing industrial projects valued from $50K to $50M
  • Familiarity with process systems and ability to read P&IDs
  • Safety-focused with proven safety program implementation
  • Technologically adept with project management software and scheduling tools
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, AHJ meetings, site reviews
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (preferred)
