Overview As an Account Executive in Inland Marine at Travelers, you will manage profitability and growth for an assigned book by underwriting and negotiating to minimize risk. You will build and maintain relationships with agents, brokers, and internal partners to craft sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities. You will travel to meet external partners and market Travelers' Inland Marine products with a consultative approach. This role supports our Inland Marine mission by delivering coverage for mobile properties and specialized valuations in a collaborative, growth oriented environment.

Responsibilities- Manage profitability, growth, and retention for an assigned book of business
- Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and cross-selling opportunities
- Foster and maintain external relationships with agents and brokers to market and sell Travelers products
- Travel to meetings with agents and brokers to write and retain accounts aligned with risk appetite
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills
- Develop and execute agency and region/group sales plans
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Three to five years of Inland Marine underwriting experience
- Knowledge of inland marine products, regulatory environment, and local insurance market
- Strong critical thinking for proactive risk, marketing, or financial challenges
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with agents and brokers
- CPCU designation
- Two years of underwriting, claim, operations, risk assessment, actuarial, sales, product, or finance experience
