Overview In this role you lead field operations on large projects, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You work on-site daily, coordinating trades, managing the budget and schedule, and developing the project team. You partner with owners, architects, and clients to progress construction, while fostering a positive, inclusive culture. Responsibilities- Directs and coordinates trade contractors and subcontractors to meet quality and schedule targets
- Supervises and develops the project team
- Manages the project budget for general conditions and Next 150/Site Services
- Develops, documents, and communicates field work plans and changes
- Leads site walks with owner, design professionals, and lenders to show progress
- Maintains contract document understanding to coordinate trades and anticipate problems
- Obtains necessary permits and coordinates AHJ inspections
- Acts as primary safety representative and drives safety culture
- Develops safety strategies and oversees safety across project personnel
- Leads contractor meetings and manages daily reports
- Communicates schedule status and changes to team and trades
- Coordinates jobsite logistics and implements QIC plan with Operations Excellence
- Resolves jurisdictional disputes with BU leadership
- Mentors junior team members and leads technical trainings
- Participates in business development, preconstruction, and write scopes of work
- Administers Time and Materials tracking
- Leads ground-up construction with foundation experience
- Engages with the community and develops local market relationships
- Partners with business development to align sales and account plans
- Optimizes profit levers and margin tactics on new sales
- Supports career development and fosters an inclusive work environment
- Translates organizational strategy to team goals
- May assist with tasks for junior positions
Key requirements- BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- 15+ years of experience on $100+ million healthcare, institutional or advanced electronics projects
- Strong technical and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Problem solving and adaptability
- Ability to participate in sales processes and presentations
- Teamwork capability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Procore
- Construction document and drawing literacy; knowledge of all construction phases
- Experience in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control
- Strong knowledge of construction safety processes and enforcing safety plans
- Experience supervising a project team
- Labor relations knowledge
- OSHA 30 hour certified
