Overview In this role you lead field operations for a growing Milwaukee area commercial general contractor. You oversee multiple project superintendents and field personnel to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality across projects from ground-up to turnover. You will mentor field teams and partner with owners, architects, and subcontractors to drive project execution and client satisfaction. This is a hands-on leadership role with a focus on concrete construction and sitework within a multi-project portfolio.

Responsibilities- Provide overall leadership and management of field operations across multiple commercial projects
- Oversee project superintendents, assistant superintendents, and field staff
- Establish and maintain project schedules, sequencing plans, and manpower strategies
- Coordinate with project managers, owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the lifecycle
- Ensure seamless project execution from preconstruction through closeout and warranty
- Lead planning and execution of concrete operations including foundations, slabs, structural concrete, paving, and site concrete
- Review concrete means and methods, production schedules, quality control procedures, and workforce planning
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost performance on concrete scopes
- Support self-perform concrete operations when applicable
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure OSHA compliance, safety policies, and site audits
- Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and punch list management
- Mentor and develop project superintendents and emerging field leaders
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and performance management of field personnel
- Drive accountability among subcontractors and field teams
Key requirements- 10+ years of commercial construction experience with increasing leadership responsibility
- 5+ years in a Superintendent/Senior Superintendent/General Superintendent role
- Experience managing projects from site preparation through final closeout
- Strong background in ground-up, structural concrete, foundations and sitework, and building envelope systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects and field teams
- Strong understanding of scheduling, sequencing, and coordination
- Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to jobsites in Southeastern Wisconsin
