Overview In this role, you driveBuilding Technology Systems (BTS) design and delivery on high-profile projects, coordinating with clients and multi-disciplinary teams through the full project lifecycle. You will lead a BTS team, market capabilities, and ensure high-quality outcomes across telecom, security, and integrated building systems. The position offers growth within a mission-driven firm shaping complex built environments. You will work with federal and public clients, balancing technical leadership with strategic project management.

Responsibilities- Design telecommunications and electronic safety & security systems for buildings
- Lead a BTS team from inception to completion and manage project resources
- Market capabilities, win work, and build a consultants team delivering quality work
- Coordinate with clients to gather/document design requirements and prepare design narratives and construction documents
- Budget and manage fees on assigned projects; oversee drawing production and technical staff
- Lead project meetings with design teams and clients; participate in construction meetings
- Conduct site surveys and respond to submittals and RFIs; ensure integration with other intelligent building systems (BMS, lighting, AV)
- Ensure adherence to local/national codes and standards (NEC, IBC, NFPA, BICSI, EIA/TIA)
Key requirements- Four-year degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- Ten+ years designing high-performance building technology systems for US Federal projects and the AEC industry
- Experience leading a BTS team and delivering projects end-to-end
- Ability to market capabilities and manage multidisciplinary consultants
- U.S. Security clearance or ability to obtain one
- RCDD certification; CPP/PSP or CTS-D for subject matter expert roles; CTS/CTS-D variants and other certifications are a plus
- Design experience in Audiovisual, DAS, and/or Data Networks/Wi Fi/Telephony is a plus
- Strong verbal/written communication and client-facing presentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; able to engage with federal/public clients
