Overview In this role you will support a DOE-legacy environmental management engagement as part of an engineering estimates team. You drive the development and review of cost estimates for time-and-material proposals and ensure proper documentation for federal submittals. You collaborate with other estimating professionals and align estimates with project controls leads to support winning proposals. The position offers exposure to high-stakes government contracting and remediation projects with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities- Develop and lead assigned estimates for T&M proposals
- Create and document Basis of Estimate and supporting materials
- Participate in estimate reviews and summarize findings
- Collaborate with estimating professionals to produce a cohesive submittal
- Support the Project Control Lead in preparing Proposal submittals
- Work on specific projects (Savannah River Site engagements) and ensure timely delivery
- Ensure estimates meet FAR requirements and DOE/DOD/DCAA expectations
Key requirements- Consecutive employment in a similar role within the past five years
- Recent (within 6 months) cost estimating experience for FAR proposals to DOE/DOD/DCAA
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and data transfer capability
- Engineering or formal degree related to estimating or remediation projects in DOE context
- Ability to produce highly detailed estimates with documented Basis of Estimate
- Proven ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Eligibility for security clearance or suitability for DOE security processes
- Experience with Timberline, Primavera preferred
