Overview In this role you will guide and oversee surveying efforts for transportation projects within a national professional services firm. You'll lead office and field teams, manage project schedules and budgets, and ensure high-quality survey deliverables and maps. The position blends hands-on surveying expertise with project leadership to support civil engineering initiatives. This is a flexible role offering remote, hybrid, or onsite work while contributing to impactful community transportation projects.

Responsibilities- Provide guidance and direction to office staff and field crews
- Foster team-building within the technical survey staff
- Oversee survey aspects of civil engineering projects and direct preparation of survey maps
- Train office and field staff in land surveying procedures
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Manage and coordinate projects with multiple team members
Key requirements- Registered Professional Land Surveyor in FL or ability to obtain in one year (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in all aspects of land surveying, transportation project management required
- AAS or BS Degree in Surveying (preferred)
- Proven track record building client relationships in surveying and mapping
- Strong written and verbal communication, including report writing
- Experience in transportation surveying (FDOT a plus)
- Knowledge of Microstation and Geopak with FDOT software; OpenRoads Designer experience a plus
- Willingness to work out of town if required, flexible with work area
