Overview

In this role you lead civil engineering design efforts for aviation projects, guiding a multidisciplinary team from planning through construction. You provide technical leadership within the aviation group and ensure compliant, safe, and scalable airport infrastructure. You will collaborate across internal teams, subconsultants, and clients to deliver high-impact airport facilities. This position offers the chance to shape airport design and drive project success in a global infrastructure leader.

Responsibilities
  • Lead civil engineering design for airport development projects (runways, taxiways, aprons, terminals, and related facilities)
  • Provide technical leadership and act as a subject matter expert in aviation civil engineering
  • Plan and oversee design activities (airfield layout, grading, drainage, pavement, stormwater)
  • Prepare and review construction documents (plans, specs, schedules, cost estimates)
  • Coordinate utility design, environmental permitting, and regulatory compliance
  • Utilize Civil 3D and other design tools for plans and calculations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, subconsultants, clients, utilities, and regulators
  • Serve as task leader, mentoring engineers, designers, and CAD staff
  • Resolve complex technical challenges and make independent engineering decisions
  • Support construction activities including shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, and inspections
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering degree and 8 years of related civil experience or demonstrated equivalency
  • Valid US Driver's License; pass Motor Vehicle Records review
  • US Citizenship required
