Overview As Client Service Director, you drive growth and strengthen Kennedy Jenks' water and wastewater practice across a national footprint. You lead client relationships, market development, and delivery oversight while building high-performing teams. You'll shape opportunities, expand services with municipal and industrial clients, and ensure practical infrastructure outcomes. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on project oversight in a collaborative, growth-focused culture.

Responsibilities- Identify and develop new clients, projects, partnerships, and service opportunities aligned with the growth strategy
- Advance and nurture long-term client relationships using established municipal and industry networks
- Lead strategic pursuits including positioning, teaming, proposal strategy, and pursuit planning
- Build and mentor high-performing teams, including hiring, staff development, and inclusive leadership
- Oversee project development from scope and schedule to staffing and coordination
- Contribute to project delivery by serving as project manager/engineer when needed
Key requirements- BS or MS in Civil, Chemical, Environmental, or a similar engineering field
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in consulting, engineering, or infrastructure services
- Thorough knowledge of the local consulting market (municipal and industry client needs)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure in CA
- Preferred: Design-Build experience and DBIA certification
- Willingness to travel to client sites, project locations, and Kennedy Jenks offices
