Overview As a Senior Subcontracts Administrator at Leonardo DRS Naval Power Systems, you will manage complex subcontracts, align supplier output with program requirements, and coordinate cross-functional activities in a fast-paced defense environment. You will drive strategy, negotiate terms, and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance and on-time delivery. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, mentor peers, and support a culture focused on mission and values. Responsibilities- Conduct proposal preparation and administration of complex subcontracts
- Develop subcontract specs, SOWs, and terms for materials and services across contract types
- Advise on procurement strategy and issue resolution with internal teams and subcontractors
- Select or recommend subcontractors and evaluate proposals
- Prepare subcontract documents and T&Cs; assemble documentation packages
- Coordinate amendments to subcontracts and negotiate/ administer agreements
- Monitor government contract performance and respond to inquiries
- Support and reinforce the company mission, values, and culture
- Maintain internal/external customer relations; perform special projects
- Train and mentor subcontract administrators
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in related discipline
- 5+ years of related experience
- Knowledge of FAR and DFARS
- Understanding of government contracting processes (sole source and competitive procurements)
- Knowledge of contract types (FFP, CPFF, CPIF, T&M, IDIQ) and their use
- Knowledge of source selection, cost/price analysis
- Knowledge of government property administration
- Experience with subcontract flow-downs, change management, inspections, payments, close-out, and records retention
- Drafting, negotiation, and use of subcontracts/POs/teaming agreements
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- MS Office proficiency
