Overview In this role you help organizations solve architecture-scale challenges using AI, modernizing legacy systems and creating reference architectures. You'll advance AI-native software engineering strategies, coach teams, and prototype agentic workflows. You'll share learnings with the technical community and contribute to designing AI-guided software architectures. This position blends research, practical engineering, and collaboration with government and industry to accelerate AI-paced delivery without sacrificing quality.
Responsibilities- Assess customer system challenges and recommend technical solutions
- Review existing systems and design modernization strategies
- Create novel architectures and reference architectures to address challenges
- Coach engineering teams on architecture-scale changes
- Architect and prototype systems and agentic workflows
- Identify opportunities to apply AI to diverse architecture challenges
- Share experiences, solutions, and best practices via publications and presentations
Key requirements- Comprehensive knowledge of software architecture and software engineering fundamentals
- Broad knowledge of architecture principles, practices, and tools
- Ability to quickly learn new problem domains and technologies
- Track record of architecting or rearchitecting systems at scale
- Track record of aligning development activities with planned architectures
- Ability to keep up with and adapt to rapidly changing technical advances
