Overview In this role, you will support gas hub development projects through engineering and construction (E&C) phases, coordinating inputs and tracking milestones. You will own project controls, risk management, and progress reporting to leadership, ensuring schedules, costs, and risks are clear and action-ready. You will work with cross-functional teams and the Integrated Supply Chain to align scope and procurement for major equipment and EPC/EPCM scopes. This role offers hands-on impact in large capital gas projects and interconnection efforts.
Responsibilities- Support E&C participation in Technology Review, Preliminary Engineering, and contracting for active hub gas development projects
- Coordinate E&C SME inputs for site configuration reviews, constructability assessments, and balance-of-plant evaluations including gas and electrical interconnection and switchyard scopes
- Track development and regulatory milestones, identifying phase dependencies early
- Maintain project schedules, cost benchmarks, and cashflow models in support of sanction decisions
- Own and maintain the E&C risk register across active work streams
- Identify and escalate development-driven scope changes that affect E&C cost or schedule
- Support risk-adjusted cost positioning and contingency analysis for leadership
- Manage monthly and quarterly progress reporting to the Owner with schedule, cost, risk, and milestones
- Develop and maintain one-page project dashboards and executive-ready status packages
- Prepare status packages for executive-level review highlighting risks, mitigations, and residual exposure
- Coordinate with Integrated Supply Chain on RFQ inputs, scope review, and bid evaluation
- Support cost comparison analysis between E&C estimates and contractor proposals and flag material variances
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, or related field
- 5-10 years of experience in energy project development or large capital projects
- Experience in project controls and schedule development for gas generation or major capital projects
- Familiarity with EPC/EPCM project delivery models and contractor bid evaluation
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent work streams
- Proven ability to manage Owner-level reporting, including monthly and quarterly progress
