Overview

In this HR Director role, you shape a people-first culture while guiding a small HR team. You serve as a strategic HR business partner to managers and employees across the organization, owning a full spectrum of HR functions from benefits and onboarding to employee relations and events. You balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced setting, driving continuous improvement and sound judgment. This is a high-impact, generalist leadership opportunity at Plymouth Rock.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small HR team to deliver services across the organization
  • Act as trusted HR advisor to business unit leaders and align HR support with business goals
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify opportunities and proactive solutions
  • Oversee benefits and leave administration to ensure compliance and consistency
  • Manage core HR operations: onboarding, offboarding, records, status changes; streamline workflows
  • Support payroll, benefits, and leave processes for timely execution; coordinate employee events and engagement
  • Serve as escalation point for complex cases and day-to-day HR issues
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience with growth in scope
  • Experience leading an HR team
  • Proven HR Business Partner experience with coaching leaders and managing complex employee relations
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance
  • Ability to translate HR data into actionable insights for senior leadership
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to shift priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
