Overview

In this role you define an architectural vision for complex business solutions, focusing on DMZ, SASE, and cloud-enabled designs. You collaborate with stakeholders to align architecture with strategic objectives and drive a flexible, modular technology roadmap. You lead high-level architecture shaping, ensure non-functional requirements are met, and mentor teams through implementation challenges. This position offers impact across large-scale networks and cross-functional programs within a supportive, outcomes-driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Create solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions and translate features into a technology backlog
  • Contribute to architecture roadmap across defined domains to support product roadmaps
  • Clarify architecture, assist with system design, and provide solution options for impediments
  • Lead design discussions, craft complex architectures, and enable flexible, modular solutions
  • Educate teams on practices and standardization for innovative solutions
  • Support technology stack selection and preferred products for solutions
  • Perform design and code reviews to verify non-functional requirements (security, performance, scalability, etc.)
  • Collaborate across business and technology to evolve architecture with emerging requirements
  • Lead rapid shaping of high-level architecture with evolving business input
  • Assist Principal Engineer in selecting technology and products
Key requirements
  • 10+ years of industry experience with technology domain focus
  • Experience integrating solutions with Cloud providers (Azure, AWS, Google, IBM)
  • Strong network security architecture and traffic segmentation knowledge
  • Public cloud networking concepts in GCP, AWS, Azure
  • Solid routing/switching experience with Arista, Cisco Nexus, Firepower/ASA, Fortinet
  • TCP/IP, SDN, OSPF, BGP, VLAN, IPSEC, PKI, QoS, MPLS, VDC, VPC variations
  • Ability to use DDoS tools (Arbor, Prolexic/Akamai, F5/Silverline) for mitigations
  • Experience with Arista and Cisco platforms (ISR, ASR, Catalyst, Nexus)
