Overview

In this role you drive accurate payroll processing and compliant HR administration within a manufacturing setting. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain data integrity, support recruitment and onboarding, and ensure regulatory adherence. Your work enables smooth payroll operations, reliable employee records, and effective HR support across the plant. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail and confidentiality.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end payroll processing and data validation to ensure timely submissions
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
  • Manage employee inquiries, payroll records, and related reporting
  • Assist recruitment, onboarding, and maintenance of Workday employee records
  • Support benefits enrollment and HR documentation; coordinate training and employee relations activities
  • Assist with internal/external audit reports and regulatory compliance
  • Provide general HR administrative support and coordinate employee engagement and wellness programs
  • Adapt to schedule changes and safety requirements in a manufacturing setting
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 1-2 years of HR coordination with payroll processing experience
  • Minimum 1 year in a union environment
  • Knowledge of payroll systems and relevant legislation (e.g., FLSA, tax withholding, benefits)
  • Proficiency with HRIS and payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Dayforce)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and ability to handle confidential information
  • Problem-solving skills and payroll discrepancy resolution
  • CPP certification is a plus
  • Experience with benefits administration
  • Bilingual Spanish/French preferred
