Overview In this role you will support tunneling projects by overseeing technical aspects of TBM operations, precast lining, and cross passage construction. You will work with the Construction Management team to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery in a large-scale transit program. You'll engage with field and design teams to troubleshoot tunneling challenges and ensure regulatory compliance, making a meaningful impact on the Hudson Tunnel Project. Responsibilities- Develop, supervise, and coordinate technical aspects of tunneling and construction work
- Represent the Construction Management team in daily meetings with the Contractor
- Support senior CM staff with technical input
- Oversee TBM design, fabrication, and operation; oversee precast tunnel lining segments
- Coordinate with project team to meet tunneling milestones and specifications
- Monitor ground conditions, excavation parameters, and progress reports
- Implement safety protocols and quality control measures
- Troubleshoot technical issues during tunneling operations
- Coordinate with Outreach Team and third-party stakeholders
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Proven TBM experience
- Tunneling experience with pressurized face TBM mining, precast concrete segmental lining, and cross passage construction
- Excellent project management and coordination of multidisciplinary teams
- Understanding of safety standards, regulations, and best practices in tunneling
