Overview

You will lead a growing civil, environmental, and water resources team in Florida, driving project delivery and client relationships. The role blends people leadership with hands-on project oversight across planning, design, and construction for infrastructure and restoration work. You'll shape market expansion in Gainesville and Jacksonville and work with cross-functional teams to win work and deliver high-quality outcomes. Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of civil, environmental, and water resources engineers
  • Drive key team metrics (utilization, hiring, safety, sales backlog, project financials) in alignment with business goals
  • Support market expansion strategies and business development in Florida (Gainesville/Jacksonville)
  • Lead client engagement as a primary point of contact and build long-term relationships
  • Oversee environmental and water resources projects from scope through budget and schedule
  • Manage design and construction of infrastructure projects (restoration, grading, drainage)
  • Collaborate with diverse professionals and agencies on funded improvement projects and proposals
  • Uphold WSP Code of Conduct and ethical standards throughout project and resource management
Key requirements
  • BS in Environmental or Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • 10-12+ years of experience in environmental or water resources projects
  • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience managing projects across planning, design, and construction phases
  • Proven ability to lead teams and juggle multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Proven commitment to workplace safety and regulatory policies
  • Occasional travel as required
