Overview In this role you will help translate bioconjugation processes into clinical supply-ready manufacturing for ADCs and related modalities at Lilly's Medicine Foundry. You will work with cross-functional teams to transfer science from development to pilot plant and early cGMP production, enabling grams-to-kilogram scale while ensuring safety, quality, and process readiness. You'll apply analytical methods and problem-solving to optimize manufacturing and drive continuous improvement. This is a hands-on position at a pioneering facility with high impact on clinical supply and manufacturing innovation.

Responsibilities- Facilitate transfer of bioconjugation processes to pilot plant operations (kilo-scale to production) for clinical supply.
- Perform bioconjugation chemistry for ADCs, including antibody preparation and protein characterization (DAR, aggregates).
- Assess safety of incoming procedures in collaboration with safety and process engineering.
- Work with highly potent molecules and single-use bioprocessing systems in lab and production settings.
- Order and stage chemicals; obtain reference materials; set up analytical methods.
- Reprocess and analyze analytical data to support fact-based decisions.
- Familiarize plant readiness of process steps (reduction/conjugation/oxidation, TFF).
- Document tech transfer plans, SOPs, batch records, and deviation reports; maintain organized notebooks.
- Contribute to process improvements, troubleshooting, and CAPA via RCA with cross-functional teams.
- Support root cause analyses and corrective actions; communicate findings effectively.
Key requirements- B.S. or M.S. in biochemistry, chemical biology, conjugation chemistry, chemical engineering or related field
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience in relevant fields
- Authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship)
- Experience with bioconjugation, ADC-related processes, and small molecule/biomolecule analytical techniques
- Ability to work in both laboratory and manufacturing environments
- Strong experimental documentation and data analysis skills
