Overview

As a Senior Superintendent, you will lead on-site operations and coordinate cross-functional teams to advance Skanska's construction strategy. You'll oversee safety, schedules, quality, and risk while developing mid- to long-term tactical plans that align with project goals. You'll mentor staff, manage subcontractors, and collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver complex projects across multiple sites. This role offers the chance to shape outcomes on meaningful builds, from schools to hospitals, within a values-driven culture. You'll work closely with diverse teams to drive performance and project success.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute short- to mid-term tactical construction plans
  • Oversee budgeting, process development, and performance improvements
  • Coordinate across departments and with partners/subcontractors/vendors/clients
  • Supervise on-site operations, safety, scheduling, and quality
  • Interpret plans/specifications, manage logistics, mitigate risks
  • Support business development efforts and mentor/develop staff
Key requirements
  • 15+ years in building construction with leadership experience across multiple projects
  • 8+ years in Safety and QA/QC culture and risk mitigation
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or 8 years equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years in top leadership for multiple projects
  • Experience scheduling and prioritizing activities (10+ years)
  • Strong ability to mentor, lead, and develop talent
  • Experience with contract management and cost control
  • Familiarity with construction technology (BIM, scheduling software, project management systems)
  • Knowledge of NYC DOB requirements is a plus
