Summary CHS in Rosemount, MN is looking for a Hazmat Truck Driver to join our team. This individual would be responsible for hauling propane, fuel, crude soy, and lubricants to our customers in a safe and timely fashion. This is a M-F home daily role with Saturday work as needed during spring and fall busy seasons. The ideal candidate would have their Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements and 2+ years of tractor trailer experience. This position is eligible for a $3,000 sign on bonus as well as driver safety bonuses (up to $6,000 per year). Join our team today!
Responsibilities - Safely transport and deliver hazardous materials to customer locations using a semi-tractor and trailer and or bobtail truck in a safe, compliant manner, and timely manner
- Load and unload products by connecting/disconnecting loading arms and hoses; follow all hazardous material handling and transfer safety procedures
- Deliver professional, customer-focused service during pickups and deliveries, and coordinate with internal teams as needed
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report equipment issues, maintenance needs, incidents, or near misses promptly. Perform interior maintenance and upkeep as needed
- Prepare delivery documentation and daily load/unload reports; record accurate electronic logs
- Comply with DOT regulations and company policies for safe driving, including route and hazard awareness. Immediately notify leadership of incidents, near misses, spills/releases, or safety concerns
- Perform additioanl duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (required) - Valid Class A or Class B CDL (as required for the equipment/route)
- Valid Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required
- 2+ years of verifiable CDL driving experience
- Must meet age requirement
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and complete required documentation accurately.
Additional Qualifications - Demonstrated experience hauling hazardous materials
- Demonstrated safety performance and consistent adherence to procedures in hazardous materials operations.
- Demonstrated customer service and communication skills; interact professionally with internal teams and customers.
- Demonstrated experience completing tanker product transfers (loading/unloading) and related documentation in a regulated environment.

Physical Requirements - Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely climb in and out of truck cabs and to the top of a tanker trailer
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions; travel and time away from home as required by the schedule
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in environments with regular exposure to hazardous materials.
