Summary CHS Illinois in Carrollton, IL is looking for a Seasonal Truck Driver to join the team! This individual would help support during our fall harvest (now-mid Dec), hauling fertilizer, liquid chemical, and anhydrous (if has applicable endorsements). The ideal candidate would have a Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements or willing to obtain and have the ability to work M-Sat 10-12 hours days (flexibility with schedule). Responsibilities - Operate a semi tractor and trailer and or straight truck to deliver products to customers in the area in a safe and timely manner.
- Load and unload product as required, including connecting and disconnecting trailers for product transfer, and follow safety protocols for handling products
- Prepare and complete delivery documentation and daily load/unload reports; record accurate electronic logs.
- Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries and maintain positive customer interactions
- Drive in accordance with DOT regulations, company policies, and compliance requirements
- Perform pre trip and post trip inspections, and report maintenance, safety, or equipment concerns promptly. Perform interior maintenance and upkeep as needed.
- Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and equipment issues; follow required
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance route knowledge, equipment operation skills, and safety awareness
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager. Additional maintenance, cleaning, and operational tasks as needed
Minimum Qualifications (required) - Entry-level to early-career commercial driving role; prior experience preferred but not required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Class A or Class B CDL
- Must meet age requirement
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and complete required documentation accurately.
Additional Qualifications - Prior commercial driving experience (including experience operating a straight truck or tractor/trailer)
- Demonstrated safe-driving performance and ability to make sound safety decisions in changing weather and road conditions
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
