Job Description As a skilled manual Machinist with experience operating Manual Delvig boring bars or CNC Toshiba boring bars. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision machining, the ability to interpret blueprints and commitment to producing high-quality work in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities: - Set up and operate manual or CNC boring bars to produce precision components
- Measure and inspect finished components using measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations, dimensions and tolerances
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and ensure they operate efficiently
Qualifications and Requirements: - Be fully knowledgeable in workholding and clamping for milling, drilling, tapping, and boring utilizing a horizontal manual boring bar
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, micrometers, and a ruler to produce parts.
- Be familiar with different alloy materials and the tooling, speeds, and feeds required for machining the different alloys
- Possess the math skills to calculate angles, bolt circles, and any other equations required to accomplish machining tasks
- Have your own tools that accommodate setup, deburring, tool changing, and measuring for all phases of operation.
- Be proficient in the use of overhead cranes
