Job description:
We are seeking seeking a skilled and patient-focused Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our growing surgical practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated surgeon to provide comprehensive oral and maxillofacial care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment supported by experienced clinical and administrative teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong surgical expertise, excellent clinical judgment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care while building lasting relationships with patients, referring dentists, and healthcare professionals.
Key responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive oral and maxillofacial examinations, evaluations, and treatment planning.
Diagnose and manage conditions affecting the mouth, jaws, face, head, and neck.
Perform surgical procedures, including:
Dental and complex tooth extractions
Impacted tooth and wisdom tooth removal
Dental implant placement
Bone grafting and ridge augmentation
Oral pathology and biopsy procedures
Pre-prosthetic and reconstructive procedures
Management of facial trauma and maxillofacial injuries
Administer and manage local anesthesia, IV sedation, and general anesthesia in accordance with applicable regulations and practice protocols.
Evaluate and manage surgical complications, infections, pain, and post-operative recovery.
Qualifications:
DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
Completion of an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Active North Carolina dental license or eligibility to obtain prior to employment.
Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.
Strong surgical, diagnostic, and clinical decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
