Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director Position in Athens, OH
Pediatrix is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director to lead our esteemed healthcare team at a leading medical facility in Athens, OH.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 3 Pediatric Hospitalists.
- Provide newborn nursery care with NICU support from Neonatologists.
- Manage 24/7 on-call coverage using a round and go model with call from home.
- Perform circumcisions and provide pediatric consultations to the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate with a team of Pediatric Hospitalists and Neonatologists for coordinated care.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and clinical research projects.
- Exchange ideas and best practices with a large network of Pediatrix providers.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Pediatrics (Required)
- OH license (or willingness to obtain) (Required)
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) (Required)
- Previous employment experience in leadership roles (Preferred)
- DEA (must be obtained prior to start) (Required)
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in Pediatrics (Required)
- Active Ohio medical license or willingness to obtain (Required)
- DEA number to be obtained prior to start (Required)
