Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified Neonatologist to join our team at a premier facility in the scenic Elmira, New York. Enjoy the stunning wineries and waterfalls of the Finger Lakes Region while providing high-quality care in a supportive environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality clinical care while adhering to evidence-based guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with team members in a dynamic practice setting.
- Participate in block scheduling, allowing flexibility for living arrangements.
- Oversee 24-hour, in-house coverage, including transport call and high-risk deliveries.
- Assess critically-ill newborns in a 20-bed, Level-III NICU, averaging 1,500 deliveries and nearly 300 NICU admissions annually.
- Utilize a variety of services, including conventional ventilation and HFOV, supported by excellent nursing and pediatric subspecialty resources.
- Engage in a program that serves as the only regional perinatal center, contributing to comprehensive women's health services.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Pediatrics.
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of fellowship) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- New York state medical license (or willingness to obtain).
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).
- DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Must hold a valid New York medical license or be willing to obtain.
- Current Board Certification in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine is required.
- DEA certification is required before beginning the position.
