Join a Leading Neonatology Practice in Wichita, KS
We are a well-respected and established Neonatology practice situated in the heart of Wichita, Kansas, seeking a passionate Neonatologist to join our evolving QI team-based management opportunity. Job Responsibilities
- Full-time BC/BE Neonatologist position available.
- Join an 8-physician practice at Wesley Medical Center.
- Work a combination of 8 and 24-hour shifts on a 7-week rotating schedule, approximately 170 hours per month of in-house coverage.
- Provide in-house call and backup call from home.
- Engage with a Level-III, 60-bed NICU with around 6,000 deliveries each year.
- Manage intensive and special care units with an average of 1,000 admissions annually and a daily census of 54.
- Perform all services except ECMO and heart surgery.
- Support residents and nurse practitioners in the care process.
- Collaborate with KU School of Medicine Wichita, offering extensive QI and research opportunities.
- Open to new Fellow graduates who are Board Certified in Pediatrics.
- Not accepting Locums candidates; open to J1 & H1B visa candidates.
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Pediatrics (required).
- Truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of fellowship) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (required).
- Kansas license or willingness to obtain (required).
- Fellowship-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (to be completed prior to start, required).
- Clean malpractice and license history (highly preferred).
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active, required).
- DEA must be obtained prior to start (required).
- Visa support - J1 or H1B (note in application).
License and Certification Requirements
- Board Certified in Pediatrics.
- Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (within 5 years).
- Fellowship-training in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (to be completed before starting).
- Kansas state medical license (or willingness to obtain).
- DEA certification to be obtained prior to start.
