Permanent Position for Neonatologist in Richmond, VA

You will be part of a highly collaborative group dedicated to improving the health outcomes of our tiniest patients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional neonatal intensive care in a 40-bed Level III NICU.
- Collaborate with a dedicated group of Neonatologists for continuous 24/7 in-house coverage.
- Utilize advanced therapies such as HFOV, HFJV, inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia.
- Work alongside on-site pediatric surgery and cardiology specialists to ensure comprehensive care.
- Coordinate with a nurse-led neonatal transport team for patient transfers and emergencies.
- Deliver care in a single-family room NICU model prioritizing family-centered approaches.
- Focus exclusively on NICU patients with no requirement to cover the newborn nursery.
- Participate in quality improvement and collaborative clinical research supported by the medical group.
- Contribute to a culture that values innovation, education, and supportive family engagement.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- Board Certified in Pediatrics.
- Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain.
- We highly prefer a clean malpractice and license history.
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Medical license to practice in Virginia (or willingness to obtain).
- Board Certified (BC) Pediatrics.
- Board Eligible (BE) or Board Certified (BC) in Neonatology.
