P/C AccountantTo support the Property/Casualty (P/C) Accounting functions for Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company of Michigan and Farm Bureau General Insurance Company of Michigan. To include participation in preparation of all financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Provide support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.Assist in daily reconciliation of accounts, posting and recording journal entries.Provide support to P/C Accounting team for analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual results.Assist in the preparation of the P/C companies' annual budgets.Assist in reinsurance accounting, assumed and ceded.Required:Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting required.Minimum one to three years accounting experience required.Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.Preferred:Understanding of statutory accounting principles and knowledge of insurance preferred.Note: This is a Hybrid position working both remotely (in the State of Michigan) and Onsite at the Farm Bureau Home Office located in Lansing, Michigan.Farm Bureau offers a full benefit package including medical, dental, vision, and 401K.PM19PI95ff4232cb51-2179
