We're growing, and we're looking for people who take pride in their work.Position OverviewThe Tile Installation Manager is responsible for overseeing tile installation projects from scheduling through final completion, ensuring every job meets quality standards, client expectations, and timeline commitments. This role is the operational bridge between field crews and the rest of the business, coordinating 1099 subcontractors, communicating with project managers and superintendents, and keeping clients informed throughout the process. The right person leads with accountability, communicates proactively, and takes ownership of the outcome.Key ResponsibilitiesProject & Crew CoordinationSchedule and coordinate 1099 subcontractor crews to ensure efficient project sequencing and resource utilization across active jobsCoordinate material procurement, staging, and delivery timelines with the warehouse and purchasing team to prevent project delaysReview project specifications, scopes of work, and drawings prior to installation kickoff to ensure crews are fully briefed before mobilizingConduct pre-installation substrate assessments, identifying flatness, moisture, or adhesion concerns before work beginsHold subcontractor crews accountable to performance, quality, and schedule standards; address issues promptly and professionallyQuality & Field OversightConduct regular site visits throughout the project lifecycle to monitor workmanship and identify issues before they escalateProvide technical guidance to installers on proper tile-setting techniques, industry standards, and company best practicesInspect completed work against project specs and punch lists before final sign-offManage warranty and callback work; ensuring timely, professional resolution of any installation deficienciesEnsure all job sites operate in compliance with safety regulations and company standardsCommunication & DocumentationCommunicate proactively with superintendents, project managers, and the sales team to resolve installation issues and prevent delaysServe as a professional and solutions-oriented point of contact for clients during the active installation phaseMaintain accurate, up-to-date documentation including project progress reports, inspection records, and invoicingParticipate in pre-construction meetings and project handoffs from the sales teamFlag job cost variances and subcontractor scheduling conflicts early so corrective action can be taken before project closeQualificationsPreferred - not requiredTile installation and/or flooring industry experienceFamiliarity with TCNA (Tile Council of North America) installation standardsExperience reading blueprints, floor plans, and project specificationsPrevious supervisory or management experience in flooring, construction, or a related tradeExperience managing 1099 subcontractors or independent crewsCore CompetenciesProject & Crew Management - Ability to manage multiple active jobs simultaneously, coordinate independent contractors, and keep projects on scheduleQuality Oversight - Skilled at identifying workmanship issues and enforcing consistent standards from mobilization through punch-outCustomer Communication - Communicates clearly and professionally with clients, sales staff, subcontractors, and vendorsProblem Solving & Decision-Making - Assesses on-site issues quickly, proposes practical solutions, and makes sound decisions under changing conditionsOrganization - Manages competing priorities across multiple projects without letting documentation, scheduling, or follow-through slipRequiredHigh School Diploma or equivalentValid driver's license in good standingProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Ability to pass a background checkAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to kneel and work on active job sitesAbility to learn additional software platformsPI2e57ab5c0-
