We also offer 401(k) with matching contributions, Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Holidays, and the opportunity to be part of a dedicated and reliable team.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSLoneStar Fasteners is looking for the right, qualified individuals to join our team We have 1 immediate Maintenance Technician position (full-time) open at our facility in Spring, TX! Performs routine operation, working on the simplest task with mechanical, pneumatic, ventilation, electrical devices and systems. Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facilities; repair all production equipment as needed, upgrades areas with new equipment/technology. This individual's deal with situations involving all types of equipment including advanced CNC machine tools, and special diagnostic instruments. Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety and Quality Assurance policies.Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to a Supervisor or Manager immediately.Trouble shoots and repair plant equipment and processes.Provide support to the production team to produce superior quality materials that meet/exceed client needs. This role supports the needs of manufacturing and facilities to ensure both are in top working order.Locates and diagnoses failures, replace defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions. Diagnose problems with PLC's and complex control systems.Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as specified.Properly inspect and maintain shop equipment, in accordance with OSHA regulation.Installs functional and structural parts in devices or equipment. Prepares new machines and production equipment for operation.Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems and production machines and equipment using testing instruments, hand and power tools and precision-measuring instruments.Work with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, vacuum and process ventilation systems.Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts, adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary; Cleans and lubricates parts, inspects completed repairs, orders replacement parts. Requisition new parts and equipment.Prepares reports and keeps records, maintains appropriate maintenance, repair logs, requisitions for spare parts, and requires maintenance supplies as required.Maintain a clean, organized and safe shop and production floor; identify label and stage parts for the equipment.Electrical & Electromechanical Focus; Performs a wide variety of functions such as installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for generating, distributing, and utilizing electrical energy. Uses instruments to test circuits and replaces or installs new power, light, electronic and control circuits.Repairs complex electrical equipment, including motors, switches, switchboards, electrical mechanisms, automated machines, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, communication systems and alarms.Performs complex wiring assignments; installs, measures, cuts, bonds, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit.Works from schematics, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment.Accurately perform the documentation requirements.Plan and perform other assorted maintenance functionsEXPERIENCE5+ years of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment; with the ability and knowledge to safely use all required power tools and diagnostic equipment necessary to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and CNC controls.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Associate's degree preferred.Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience and knowledge requiredAbility to read equipment, component and wiring drawings and schematics; familiar with Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trades involved.Ability to adjust to changes without compromising Quality or Performance.Must be willing to work a shift schedule and work overtime as needed, including weekends.PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to stand for the duration of scheduled shiftModerate physical effort handling parts. Equivalent to frequently exerting average effort. Ability to manually load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, platforms, saws, and trucks. Able to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. repetitively.Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focusManual dexterity using hands, fingers, and arms to push, pull, reach, grab, hold, lift, and hammerContinuous mental and visual attention in cleaning.
