ESCO Group is dedicated to empowering the polyurethane industry with precision and expertise by listening, understanding, and developing innovative product and equipment solutions.Position SummaryThe Dispense Systems Service Technician position supports the dispense systems team by traveling to customer sites to install, repair, and troubleshoot process equipment. The service technician will also be responsible for providing final runout and testing of completed projects at the ESCO facility as well as assisting with customer factory acceptance tests and application lab trials. This is a customer-facing position, requiring a very high level of professionalism and polished communication skills. Travel for this position is reguired up to approximately 60%. This position is eligible for a sign on and retention bonus. Education & Experience5-years related work experience with evidence of ongoing education in maintenance, repair and operations of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Required experience with any of the following manufacturing processes:Food (dairy, beverages, bakeries, etc.) Hydraulic SystemsChemical Systems and Manufacturing Plastics manufacturing; injection molding, painting, reactive materials Other related industries where the processing of liquid materials and automated manufacturing occurs.Expert knowledge in the function and repair of the following components and systems:Pumps; gear, piston, pneumatic, centrifugalValves, flow controls, piping and fittings, pneumatics, sealsPower Transmission; electric motors, gearboxes, cylinders, bearingsVacuum systemsTemperature control systems; electric, water and oilHydraulic and electrical schematics and system troubleshootingPLC and HMI troubleshooting and basic programmingIndustrial electronics troubleshooting and repairExperience with polyurethane processing equipment is highly desirable but not required.Valid drivers license.CompetenciesAbility to read, analyze, and interpret mechanical or electrical drawings, technical procedures, and product manuals. Be able to write reports and business correspondence. Be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Knowledge of Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, Allen Bradley PLC software and navigation of the internet.Ability to effectively receive and express ideas, both written and verbal; using clear and concise vocabulary and active listening skills.Ability to discern appropriate use of company resources to accomplish goals, considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.Ability to pay attention to detail, accuracy and completeness.Ability to recognize courses of action to handle problems, gathering and organizing information, identifying cause and effect relationships, and applying contingency plans to solve those problems.Ability to conceptualize designs with limited points of reference and limited experience with the particulars of the scope of the project.
